About ISO 13399

ISO 13399 is a generally applicable information representation model which is used together with an explicit reference dictionary for cutting tools. Within ISO 13399 a schema for product description is defined and product files are created according to this schema. The reference dictionary is a parts library dictionary in PLIB format (ISO 13584) and is released by the ISO 13399 maintenance agency.

The ISO 13399 standard is divided into several parts. While starting with the GTC implementation it is recommended to concentrate on the main parts as listed in the following table. The ISO 13399 documents are fee-based. The links in the following table lead to the ISO 13399 definition documents and usage guidelines. It is also possible to get the ISO documents from the ISO 13399 representative of your country.
